OUR EXPERTISE
Our expertise is focused on executing work environments to fit the worker's need for comfort, health and safety. Find out how to apply basic of environmental ventilation engineering principles to create a pleasant and healthy work environment.
Positive and Negative measures of productivity |
||
Comfort condition | Discomfort conditions | |
Include faster, more accurate output, faster and more effective employee recruitment and retention, better quality service to clients, faster and better quality decision-making. The argument posits that a supportive environment increases these outcome variables, or the rate of their occurrence, to a measurable extent. |
Include rate of absenteeism and illness, employee turnover, product returns or service complaints, error and customer complaint rates, and reducing staff to perform the same amount of work. According to this argument, an effective work environment counters these effects, reducing their incidence & prevalence |
Practicing these principles provides many benefits including physical, mental and financial. We offer our services to find out how to reduce your risk of workplace discomfort and capture all the benefits for your organization. It will come as no surprise that work performance decreases when workplaces are discomfort or too hot. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) testing has shown that significant increases in productivity result from keeping the workplace comfortable by applying the basic of environmental ventilation engineering principles and keeping the temperature in the appropriate range, especially toward the upper end of the scale.
An acceptable and affordable zone of thermal comfort for most people in INDIA lies roughly between 18°C and 33°C.” Temperature is not the only comfort condition. Air quality also plays a part. Risks relating to dust and fumes in the workplace come under the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations, which demands that a specific and detailed assessment is carried out involving enclosure, local extraction and, possibly, filtration. Essentially, there are three ways to remove heat and contaminants from factories: a natural or powered ventilation system, or air conditioning. Natural ventilation is the most economical option, if it is practical. A correctly selected and installed ventilation system creates a more comfortable working environment, but every factory is different, so it pays to seek professional guidance to determine the specific requirements for individual facilities. Some industries require more than natural or powered ventilation and require greater control over internal ambient temperatures. For such buildings, air conditioning systems found in many offices and shops would not be effective in all but the smallest storage or production facilities.
Many workplaces are too large for refrigerant cooling systems, not from a technical or engineering point of view, but in terms of cost. We have a more energy efficient alternative is evaporative cooling. This involves drawing hot dry air across wetted media, resulting in an exchange of energy and a reduction in air temperature. The warmer the outside temperature, the more efficiently evaporative cooling works. At above 30°C, the air can cool down adiabatically by 15°C or more, resulting in efficient cooling. Also, evaporative cooling involves supplying 100% fresh air and thereby maintains air quality. In effect, it is an enhancement of an input ventilation facility, which means that it can be used throughout spring and summer with the cooling function being operated only when conditions dictate. We offer a simple and cost-effective way of solving the problems of internal temperatures.
